Want To Help Make-A-Wish? Donate Your Car Or Get Involved In Other Ways

On average, Make-A-Wish is responsible for granting the wishes of deserving kids every 38 minutes. Children with life-threatening medical conditions are given the opportunity to experience their greatest wishes come true. Wishes play a part in enriching the human spirit and help to bring hope, strength, and joy back into the life of a child.

Thanks to the help of many generous donors and volunteers, Make-A-Wish is able to send children on their dream vacations to swim with dolphins in Hawaii, or even to Walt Disney World in Florida. Whatever a child wishes, Make-A-Wish sees that it happens. Still, your help is needed!

Donate Your Car To Grant Wishes In Your Community

If you wish to make a difference in the life of a child, you can donate your car to Wheels For Wishes, benefiting your local Make-A-Wish chapter. Wheels For Wishes is a fully-registered IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that provides free pick-up or towing of most makes and models of vehicles, nearly anywhere in the United States.

Wheels For Wishes is different from other car donation charities in a way that lets us donate 100 percent of all net proceeds to Make-A-Wish, while giving you a great tax deduction at the same time. Wheels For Wishes is committed to helping Make-A-Wish see that every child has their greatest wish granted. When vehicles are donated, they are either auctioned off and reused or recycled to build new vehicles. Earned proceeds from auctioned or recycled vehicles benefit your local Make-A-Wish and help to grant the wishes of kids in your community.

Looking To Help Make-A-Wish In Other Ways?

Even if you don’t have a vehicle to donate at this time, you can still help Make-A-Wish grant the wishes of local kids. Make-A-Wish offers plenty of different ways for volunteers or donors to get involved in the wish granting!

While many children wish to meet their favorite sports player, go on a shopping spree, or visit local attractions, many wishes involve travel to dream destinations all over the world. Your unused airline miles can help to send children on their dream vacation. Donate your airline miles and help a child receive their wish granted!

If you don’t have any airline miles to donate, consider making a general donation to Make-A-Wish. You will have the option to donate to Make-A-Wish America or your local Make-A-Wish chapter.

Make-A-Wish will also benefit when you get involved in the Workplace Giving program. Choose from the Combined Federal Campaign, State and Local Public-Sector Campaigns, United Way Program, and Wishmakers At Work.

Walk To Grant Wishes In Your Community

If you would rather do something active, consider attending a Make-A-Wish Walk For Wishes event in your community. Participants can make a general donation, sponsor another walker, raise funds, and participate in fun Walk For Wishes events on the day of the walk. You do not want to miss any Walk For Wishes events in your area!

If you are looking for some fun merchandise for yourself or for the special people in your life, shop the Make-A-Wish Marketplace and support a great cause that goes toward the granting of wishes. Choose from clothing, office supplies, or create your own custom product! Plus, you will love wearing your Make-A-Wish gear to the next Walk For Wishes event!

However you choose to donate to Make-A-Wish, whether you choose car donation, a Walk For Wishes event, or maybe a general donation, you will be helping to grant the wishes of kids in your community. You can play a part in bringing hope, strength, and joy back into the life of a child once again!
